Ngannou was on the verge of completing what would have been a historic upset when his left hook sent Fury onto the canvas.

The MMA star danced in front of his fallen opponent but was unable to finish the job, with the fight going the full ten rounds.

Fury went on to claim a contentious split-decision win and avoid a shock defeat against someone who made his boxing debut.

However, the knockdown from Ngannou was one of the highlights of the night, and three YouTuber-turned-boxers were all left aghast.

Jake Paul, who was defeated by Fury’s half-brother Tommy earlier in the year, stood up in awe when the flashpoint took place.

“Are you f****** serious,” he said in bewilderment, and then posted on X: “MMA fighters are easy boxing work??? Shut the f*** up.”

His brother Logan was sat alongside business partner and former rival KSI, who recently lost to Tommy Fury, and they were just as shocked as anyone.

The former repeatedly shouted “No way!”, whilst the latter sat in his chair and exclaimed “Oh my god!”

It was certainly a moment that boxing fans will remember for a long time, with Ngannou certainly putting on an excellent performance.

Fury was able to pull through though and win the 34th fight of his professional career, with the latest being his 10th via a decision.

He now looks to set to make preparations for his undisputed fight against Oleksandr Usyk, with the two facing off last night.

However, the expected date of December 23 may be changed given how many hits Fury sustained against Ngannou.
