Jake Paul edges closer to meeting Amir Khan condition for potential fight

Jake Paul has revealed he has already cut weight after losing out on his fight with Mike Tyson.
The YouTube star had bulked up to 230lbs to face heavyweight veteran Tyson, but the fight has since been postponed after the legend suffered an ‘ulcer flare up’.
A new date has yet to be pencilled in, but the influencer has received a number of offers to replace Tyson in July including from former world champion Amir Khan.
Khan insisted he would be open to the bout, providing Paul loses his weight and the pair are able to meet on middle ground.
Paul has now hinted that he could be doing just that, writing: “No more heavyweight eating for Mike Tyson for the next few weeks.
“Bye bye pizza. Back down to 219lbs already. It was fun being fat. I will miss you fat jakey you were so cute and fluff.”
Paul has previously weighed in at a career lowest of 183lbs, which is significantly higher than Khan’s career highest at 155lbs when he was knocked out by Canelo Alvarez.
A showdown between the pair is highly unlikely, with Paul likely to wait for Tyson who has suggested a date between October and December to reschedule.
He has also been offered two alternative tests including Tyson’s last opponent Roy Jones Jr who has declared he would be ready to step in.
Tyson will be hoping to make a full recovery, but doubts continue to lurk around the contest given the 58-year-old’s health.
Paul already looks lighter after the fight was postponed[/caption]Khan hasn’t fought since losing to Kell Brook in February 2022, but is open to a comeback.
He revealed that he was in talks to face Misfits Boxing leader KSI in August, in his maiden appearance.
But ‘King’ Khan is also interested in a fight with Paul and insists it can happen afterwards.
He said: “If the weights are right [I would step in for Mike Tyson] I don’t mind giving away 20 pounds.
“It just depends on the weight because I know Jake has put on a lot of weight to fight Mike.
“Jake’s not normally that big, but he’s put on a lot of mass, so it depends on him, whether he’s willing to lose that weight and we find some middle ground somewhere.
“But it’s KSI who has been speaking the big game and once he’s taken a beating, and if I’m going to do that, I may as well bang both of them out.
“I’d take on KSI first and then knock Jake Paul out after that. Let’s see how he looks against Mike Tyson, if he gets knocked out badly I wouldn’t entertain it, but if he looks really good, then it would be worth entertaining.”
