Jake Paul claims he is a bigger name in combat sports than Conor McGregor

Jake Paul’s long-term very one-sided rivalry with Conor McGregor continues to wage on.

In the early days of Paul’s boxing career, he called out McGregor to fight, but the Irishman has never really shown any interest.

And yet, Paul still seems determined to make it happen, as he recently told DAZN Boxing: “McGregor would be pretty freaking massive and entertaining and fun.

“I would beat his a**.

“He won’t fight me. At this point it’s funny how it went from me calling him out and that seeming crazy to now me being bigger in the sport than he is.

“And him knowing my skill level is greater than his in such a short amount of time. Life’s crazy.”

It seems unlikely that the pair will clash anytime soon, as McGregor’s focus appears to be still be on MMA at the moment.

The Irishman has not fought since 2021 when he broke his leg against Dustin Poirier, but it is likely that he will return to the Octagon next year against Michael Chandler.

As for Paul, he will fight on Friday night against little-known 10-1 professional boxer Andre August.

Paul has made it clear that this fight is all about gaining experience on his journey to becoming a world champion, which is a position he already believes he holds in his head.

He said on his podcast BS w/ Jake Paul: “I am a world champion.

“I don’t need to elaborate the manifestation that’s going on in my head.

“I possess the talent, hard work, skill set, all the attributes of a world champion, so I am that already and I’m willing and manifesting the rest into existence to become the world champion.”
