Jack Catterall and Regis Prograis will meet next month after their initial bout was postponed.

The two were meant to come head-to-head in August, but due to Catterall suffering an injury, the fight was pushed back.

A new date has been pencilled in, and the countdown starts now.

It will be the first big boxing match to be held in the new Co-op Arena in Manchester.

Catterall heads into this fight off the back of a win over longtime rivalJosh Taylor, so despite suffering an unspecified injury, he’ll be feeling good.

Meanwhile, his opponent lost to Devin Haney in December 2023, but he is a previous world champion.

Catterall vs Prograis: What has been said?

After having to postpone the initial fight through injury, Catterall is raring to go.

He said: “I’m delighted that a new date for my fight with Regis Prograis has been sorted so quickly.

“Big thanks to Matchroom, my team and Co-op Live for all of their hard work on this.

“To be the first boxer to headline at Co-op Live is going to be special and I’m really happy I’ll still get that opportunity.

“It was gutting having to pull out of a fight for the first time in my 30-fight career but I need to be fit and healthy going into one of the most important contests of my life.

“Thanks for everyone’s continues support and I’ll see you all on October 26!”
