And Quickenden proved to be far too much for his opponent, as in the opening round, he landed a right hand that pushed Smith up against the cage.

Quickenden then let his hands go, catching Smith with crushing right hand after right hand.

The comedian dropped to the canvas and the referee quickly jumped in to wave off the contest, as Quickenden celebrated.

In the build-up to the fight, Quickenden underwent an impressive body transformation, looking ripped in the Octagon.

Prior to the clash, he told Oktagon MMA: “I’ve been off the booze for over a year and I’ve changed my diet quite a lot. I used to eat a lot of rubbish and I haven’t been.

“It’s made me mentally stronger; it’s been tough, I’ve been grumpy, tired and hungry but I’ve kept a strong mind throughout."

As for Smith, he revealed after the fight that he will not be returning for another MMA fight, saying: “I am 100 per cent saying I am not going to carry on fighting, but I will definitely continue training.

“I travel a lot… and to do that is fantastic, but sometimes it can get a bit lonely.

“These gyms are like families and they really welcome you into these places and show you the love. It's been a real eye-opener for me.

“I will continue to do jiu-jitsu… black belt is the next challenge for me because I have thoroughly enjoyed it and it will be fun going in and putting on a show.

“I just hope we don't look completely out of place on the card with all these pro guys.”
