Gervonta Davis and Floyd Mayweather continue feud in latest heated spat after legend makes Frank Martin fight claim

Floyd Mayweather has drawn yet another angry response from Gervonta Davis on social media.

The boxing legend took Davis under his wing and guided his career for several years, until the pair split in 2022 as announced by the protege.

Mayweather and Davis went back and forth online

A feud has heated up on social media this year, with the pair’s previously amicable separation terms turning into a fiesty war of words.

In his latest jibe aimed at Davis, Mayweather posted an image which suggested Tank’s upcoming fight with Frank Martin was cancelled.

It was then followed by ‘Money’ urging fans to instead watch this weekend’s UFC Fight Night between Alex Perez and Tatsuro Taira.

Davis took issue to this, and responded: “Floyd is just a bitter b****.”

He then quickly put both barrels into Mayweather, mocking the news that right-hand man Leonard Ellerbe has stepped down as CEO of his promotional company.

The unbeaten WBA lightweight champion added in a new post: “If you sign with this fraud, he will f*** your career up.

“He is not a good businessman at all.”

The feud began after Davis initially reacted to reports the retired star was ‘stuck in Dubai’.

It originated from the 29-year-old going public with claims that Mayweather stopped him from training in his gym just weeks before his win over Ryan Garcia last year.

Davis even threatened to knock out his former mentor in a fight, which is of course highly unlikely given the former 15-belt champion has hung up his gloves.

Despite their latest spat, the lightweight champion will indeed be back in action this weekend against Martin.

Martin previously sparred the champion in Mayweather’s gym, and the pair have argued over the session in an intriguing pre-fight narrative.

No doubt Mayweather, who had a huge influence on his success, will be tuning in to see if his ex-protege does indeed add a 30th win to his professional record.
