YouTuber IShowSpeed is convinced he will become $25,000 richer after Jake Paul challenged him to a 40-yard dash race.

IShowSpeed, real name Darren Jason Watkins Jr, was responding to claims by YouTuber-turned boxer, Paul, that he could beat him in the short sprint.

Paul said in an episode of BS with Jake Paul last month: “I want to race Speed. In a 40-yard dash I beat Speed… let’s do it. Speed, this is the call-out.”

Speed has now responded to Paul’s call-out, insisting it will be a foregone conclusion in his favour.

“Yo Jake, so I’ve seen a clip saying you want to race me for $25k,” Speed begun.

“Let’s do it, bro. Let’s run it,” Paul responded.

“You know that’s free money, right?” a confident Speed said.

“Yeah, for me. You’re not that fast, you run like a 4.6,” Paul hit back.

The pair then began arranging the logistics of their race.

“Okay, let’s go, let’s race. Come on!” Speed said.

“Let’s do it here in Puerto Rico because I’m about to start camp. I’ll fly you out and everything,” Paul proposed.

“Let’s see, a free fly out, a free $25k… I’m down, let’s go!” Speed responded.

“Let’s get it,” Paul said.

After Speed suggested the race happens the next day, Paul said: “Uhhh, I got somewhere to be but let me figure out the schedule.”

“This about to be the freest $25k I’ve ever made in my life,” Speed concluded.

Speed will have every right to feel confident having reportedly clocked a time of 4.4 seconds when doing a 40-yard dash, an exercise done during the NFL Draft.

The American has also displayed impressive athleticism during some of his videos, including one which showed him jump over a speeding Lamborghini in a dangerous stunt.

Paul has built his name in boxing, however, he’s not known for his sprinting prowess.

The 27-year-old may also be inhibited in his race against Speed by his plan to pile on the pounds ahead of his rescheduled fight with Mike Tyson.
