The two have finally signed contracts for the biggest fight in a generation, with one of them set to be the first undisputed heavyweight since Lennox Lewis.

Fury has the small matter of a clash with former UFC heavyweight champion Ngannou to get past first.

The Gypsy King faces the MMA star, who is making his boxing debut, on October 28 in Saudi Arabia.

After that fight was announced, many thought that would be it for Fury for 2023, certainly for any chance of a showdown with Usyk.

Ngannou reacted to the news that Fury will take another fight just two months after facing him.

He wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: “I don’t know what’s the minimum medical suspension in boxing but I really don’t understand how Tyson can fight in December after what’s going to happen on 10/28.”

Fury himself reacted to the news that he will finally be facing Usyk, but has yet to comment on Ngannou’s warning.

He said: “I say what I do. I do what I say. UNDISPUTED. THIS IS THE GYSPY KING ERA.
