Francis Ngannou collects £87,000 Jacob & Co watch and thanks Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of Tyson Fury fight

Francis Ngannou was delighted to pick up his £87,000 watch gifted from Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ahead of his boxing fight with Tyson Fury in Saudi Arabia on Saturday night, Ngannou went to collect the luxury Jacob & Co watch that had been given to him by his friend and legendary footballer Ronaldo.
Ngannou posted a video on his Instagram of him collecting the watch, which came in a customised CR7 box and he posed with his new timepiece.
The former UFC heavyweight champion posted the video alongside the caption: “Got to pick up my new watch ahead of fight week here in Riyadh.
“Thank you @jacobandco Riyadh & my brother @cristiano!”
This comes after the two athletes met earlier this year and Ngannou described Ronaldo as ‘inspirational’.
And there is every chance that the Portuguese footballer will be in attendance for Saturday night’s fight.
Ronaldo has previously said that he likes watching boxing and UFC and he is already in Saudi Arabia, as he plays for Al Nassr.
Earlier this year Ronaldo attended the Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury fight, which also took place in Saudi Arabia.
But, Ngannou’s focus is not on Ronaldo, as instead he is determined to cause an upset against Fury, although not many people are giving him a chance.
Former super middleweight world champion Carl Froch has said this week that for Fury this will be: “a f***ing sparring session, probably the easiest spar he’s ever had.”
Froch continued: “I don’t care that Ngannou can punch, a mule can kick really hard, but he's never going to be able to line it up.
“Fury's not going to be worried about getting hit by that monstrous punch because I’ve seen Ngannou on the pads and he looks terrible.
“He looks like what I’d expect a zero fight novice to look like. Ngannou looked slow, awkward, stiff – how is he going to get near Fury? He’s going to get his head absolutely peppered off."
