This week is a big week for Mexico and Canelo Alvarez but the same night in the same city of Las Vegas a big UFC will also happen.

It is thought the UFC could do a record gate this weekend and still do big numbers regardless of the Canelo fight:

It’s also worth noting that Dana White reduced the gate estimate from $25-27 million to $21 million.

Despite the heated rivalry this weekend, Dana White the UFC President knows how big a date on the Mexican calendar it is.

He will be honoring Alvarez as other Mexicans regardless of the competition this weekend:

Smart move.

Alvarez is the big name in town in Vegas this weekend at the end of the day.

He is where fans worldwide will be tuning into watch against Edgar Berlanga at the T-Mobile Arena in this weekend’s boxing action.
