Devin Haney appears to reveal exact purse for Regis Prograis fight as he takes aim at UFC star Sean O'Malley

Devin Haney has seemingly revealed that he will be making $6million (£4.8million) for his next fight.

The unbeaten 30-0 (15 KOs) American is emerging as one of the top names in the sport at only 24 years of age.

Haney has already become the undisputed WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO lightweight world champion.

He is now moving up in weight to challenge Prograis for his WBC super-lightweight crown on Dec 9th.

In the background though, Haney has also regularly been exchanging words with Sean O’Malley.

The UFC bantamweight champion started calling out top boxers in the wake of his title win.

This is of course becoming a pattern of late.

Conor McGregor was the first UFC star to cross over to boxing and make huge money when he lost to Floyd Mayweather in 2017.

Since then, the likes of Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley, Anderson Silva and Nate Diaz have received paydays from boxing Jake Paul.

Most recently, Francis Ngannou secured a huge cheque to box Tyson Fury and even came close to winning.

Therefore, O’Malley now seemingly wants a piece of the action.

In his latest remarks, the UFC champion said he’d been told nobody knows who Haney is and so a bout between them was unlikely.

However, Haney hit back by claiming he makes double O’Malley’s purses.

Upon reflection Haney tweeted: “I gave him more credit – this dude made $400k in his last fight, I'm making 15x what he makes.”

If Haney is completely accurate in his comment, then this would reveal that he is set to earn a purse of $6million for the Prograis fight.
