Derek Chisora says he could KO Francis Ngannou and is willing to fight in December

Derek Chisora wants to take on Francis Ngannou even though the Cameroonian came close to beating Tyson Fury.

Ngannou’s stock in the boxing world rose massively as he put in an impressive performance against Fury late last month.

The former UFC heavyweight champion battled for ten rounds and even dropped Fury in the third, but it was ‘The Gypsy King‘ who came out on top by split decision, even though many people thought Ngannou deserved to win.

After this fight, Fury was expected to go straight into an undisputed heavyweight world title fight with Oleksandr Usyk on December 23, but this now looks like it will be delayed until February while the Brit takes some time to recover from his bout with Ngannou.

As such, the date on December 23 in Saudi Arabia is now open and Boxing News had previously reported that Ngannou could fight again on that date against either Zhilei Zhang or Joseph Parker.

But now, Chisora has thrown his name into the hat, telling IFL TV: “I want everybody, I want Francis Ngannou yeah, I wanna get it.”

As for whether he would be ready for December, Chisora replied: “I’m ready to fight every day bro.”

When asked how a fight with Ngannou might go, Chisora said: “It’ll be a great fight and I’ll knock him out.

“He’s amazing, he’s a great fighter, he’s a strong guy, he’s a great MMA fighter, he caught Tyson on a bad day and it happens.”

At 39 years old, Chisora hasn’t got long left in the sport, but he says he wants 50 fights before he retires, having had 47 so far, and perhaps Ngannou could be one of those final three opponents.
