Conor McGregor weighs in on Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson fight as UFC legend u-turns on plan to face 'YouTube nerd' KSI

Conor McGregor has U-turned on plans to face YouTuber boxers and now admits he’ll face KSI and the Paul brothers, Logan and Jake.

‘Notorious’ is expected to return to the Octagon in 2024 after nearly three years on the sidelines.

McGregor has been out of action since fracturing his tibia and fibula during his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021.

During his lengthy absence from MMA, the Irishman has found himself the target of callouts from the rise of influencer boxers.

Tyson Fury‘s half-brother Tommy called for a fight with McGregor after his rival Jake Paul announced he will face Mike Tyson next.

The UFC legend had always refused to entertain battling social media stars in favour of returning to UFC’s elite but has now changed his mind.

However, the former two-weight UFC champion admitted KSI would be his ideal opponent due to his popularity in the UK.

"Yeah you know, the YouTube nerds could be like, I would consider that a nixer," McGregor stated in an interview with SneekPeakTV.

"Your Uncle's friend needs a f****** radiator fitted in his house, so you'll do a side job, and get side pay.

"I would consider them guys to be nixers. If I was to pick one out of them, I would say KSI, he has a big name in the U.K."

Paul and Tyson will clash in the ring in July

McGregor also became the latest to take aim at the controversial bout between Paul and Tyson due to their 31-year age gap.

He continued, "The Pauls… That [Mike] Tyson fight is just a strange one to me, I hope Tyson takes his nose off.

"I'm sure at some stage [I'll end up fighting one of them], I'm sure at some stage. You know, we'll go through all of these guys.

"[Tommy] Fury called me out yesterday, and he beat Jake and he fought KSI so it's just like another little world isn't it?"

"I'm open to it." McGregor concluded. "I'll never say no, I'll never say no."

McGregor has only fought in the boxing ring once before, in a mega clash which he lost to Floyd Mayweather in 2017.

In the meantime, Michael Chandler is still expected to be the man battling McGregor when he makes his long-awaited UFC comeback.

The 35-year-old recently took to social media to claim that he would fight Chandler at middleweight on June 29.
