Conor McGregor gives 'electric' Ryan Garcia bizarre advice following incredible win over Devin Haney

Conor McGregor has offered Ryan Garcia some words of wisdom following the biggest win of his career.

The former dual-weight UFC champion went backstage to meet Garcia immediately after his body shot knockout loss against Gervonta Davis in April 2023.

Even in defeat, he saw something special in the young boxing starlet, so he wasn't surprised when he overcame the odds to beat WBC super lightweight champion Devin Haney on Saturday night.

Garcia, who was not eligible to become a world champion because he missed weight, scored three knockdowns en route to a majority decision win in New York.

The 25-year-old then received a message from McGregor, who attached three pictures from his cameo at Garcia's fight with Davis last year.

"Yup Jesus and the sesh! Ya's know f*** all, peasants, stay out of our ear! Well in Garcia," he tweeted.

"An amazing fight from two champions! Have now fought each other 7 times! That's incredible. Some are just born to fight! Some aren't. If you aren't be sure to be a good gatherer cos I be hungry.

"God speed to both men and teams in this crazy world and congrats Ryan Garcia! Tonight is your night, I knew when he fought Tank that this guy was electric. Even in defeat.

"I went backstage after he'd been stopped to the body last time out. Only his close people were present. A win or a loss will never make or break a person to me. When you know, you know. Fighters know. The real know. God knows!

"Now the real fight happens for the young man, too! Stay strong kid, believe in the Lord's guidance and keep it tight like frogs ass in Versace lad hahaha yes!

"Well in! Jesus is King so don't go against what he tells you personally and internally. Keep it right and good luck lil' bro. Drink responsibly Proper 12 Whiskey and Forged Stout every night."

Garcia, who caused concern with his erratic pre-fight behaviour, admitted after his win that he was drinking alcohol daily in the build-up to his clash with Haney.

"I drank every single night," he said at a post-fight press conference.

"What happened? I won. I'm not necessarily proud of it, but I'm just saying. It was a statement to say you guys can't really f*** with me. I can do whatever I want."

McGregor’s ‘drink responsibly every night’ advice is the last thing he needs to hear as he prepares to enter another fight camp ahead of an inevitable rematch with Haney.
