Conor McGregor encourages Dillon Danis to break and Logan Paul's leg and the rules during boxing debut

Conor McGregor has implored Dillon Danis to cheat during his boxing debut.

The former dual-weight UFC champion's teammate is set to debut in a new sport against YouTuber-turned-boxer Logan Paul at the AO Arena in Manchester on October 14.

Danis' scrap on the undercard of KSI vs Tommy Fury has been marred by below-the-belt insults, lawsuits and constant rumours about it potentially collapsing.

However, we are now just days from fight night and 'Notorious' has offered his friend some words of advice before facing Paul, who claims to have injured himself in training.

"Let's go brother! Logan’s broken," McGregor commented under a video Danis posted to X – formerly known as Twitter – about their friendship.

He added: "Broken wrist. Broken heart. Pull guard and break his leg. Depending.

"Enjoy! Cash in time. Well done! Respect. Make the walk and you a winner."

Danis is a former MMA prospect who went 2-0 with Bellator before his promising career was derailed by a serious knee injury in 2019.

The 30-year-old, who is a Black Belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, was known for his world-class submission skills and distinct lack of striking ability before booking a boxing match against Paul.

Since then, Danis has been working on his stand-up with former UFC middleweight champion Alex Pereira, who was a decorated kickboxer before transitioning to MMA.

McGregor was unable to help Danis train and clearly thinks that his best chance at victory is to forget about the rules of boxing like Nate Diaz threatened to do during his clash with Jake Paul.

The UFC legend was dropped and outpointed by Paul over eight rounds in August but showed how a real fight would go when he locked up a guillotine choke submission in the final frame.

Diaz let go and ultimately slumped to a lopsided decision defeat but walked away with a moral victory as he proved 'The Problem Child' had no answer for his submission skills.

Danis could do the same thing, although it would most likely cost him the fight purse he needs to battle ongoing lawsuits launched by Paul's fiancée, Nina Agdal, following weeks of social media trolling.
