Canelo Knocks Out The UFC

Everyone thought it was a terrible idea for Saul “Canelo” Alvarez to go up against the UFC next month but not the case.

The power of Alvarez not just in America and Mexico but worldwide has now been proven again, solidifying him as the biggest draw in the sport of boxing.

As Boxing Kingdom on X points out the following — regarding him going head to head with the UFC on September 14th, 2024:

Furthermore, Alan Dawson in the UK says that the UFC because of trying to go head to head with Canelo with their event next month — are twenty-million dollars in the red:

The above, all in all, really illustrates the power of Canelo as a star and brand.

Not just in boxing either.

A single individual boxer has absolutely knocked out a huge organization in the UFC when taking them on head to head — having an event the same weekend that they are.

That also tells you a lot about the power of the sport of boxing over the UFC in reality when all is said and done.

Alvarez takes on Edgar Berlanga next month September 14th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
