Canelo Alvarez was left in stitches after a vulgar comment from a fan at the ‘Grand Arrivals’ for his upcoming clash with Edgar Berlanga.
The Mexican superstar was in spiteful mood four days out from fight night as he told assembled media that he was planning to make Berlanga pay for his trash talk by ‘breaking his face’.

“[And] I like breaking their face when they play like that.
"I'm eagerly awaiting that day. It'll be the beatdown of his life.
“No chance [he wins]. The experience I have, the intelligence, my boxing ability, I've already won."
Despite being in fight mode, Canelo couldn’t help but crack a smile when he heard of one fan’s crude request at the ‘Grand Arrivals’.
A member of Canelo’s adoring crowd told PBC presenter Kinsey Wolanski ahead of his idol’s entrance that he wanted the Mexican superstar to impregnate his wife.
When Wolanski relayed the message to Canelo he burst out laughing.
“Great to see you Canelo, obviously this man needs no introduction,” she said.
“This crowd absolutely loves you, one guy in the back said he would let you get his wife pregnant. The crowd, they are die-hard for you.”
“He’s smart, he’s smart,” chuckled Canelo.
Canelo is set to defend his WBA, WBC and WBO super middleweight titles against Berlanga on Saturday night at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
The former pound-for-pound king was stripped of his IBF title in July after choosing to face Berlanga rather than IBF mandatory challenger William Scull.
As a result, the major sanctioning body ordered Scull to face Vladimir Shishkin for their version of the 168lbs title while Canelo and Berlanga duke it out for three of the four main world titles on September 14.
Providing Canelo beats Berlanga a super fight with Terence Crawford is still on the table.
HE Turki Alalshikh had made an offer for the contest to Canelo but withdrew the proposal after communication lines broke down between both parties.
The Saudi boxing chief has since made up with Canelo after receiving an indirect message through a mutual friend and insists he is open to making the clash happen again.
