He has developed frightening power which has seen him become one of the most feared punchers in the sport in recent years.

And boxing trainer Kelp has shown fans what he believes to be the secret to Beterbiev’s success.

He showed off an incredible exercise called the ‘Iron Fist’ to his fans on Instagram, which saw him take the press-up position.

Kelp then pushed up and down jumping before returning to the ground, with his fist flat, then clenched, then on the back side of his hand.

It looked an incredibly challenging drill which required serious strength and determination, but would also significantly increase the power in the wrists.

He explained in the caption: “This is a very advanced and intense exercise for strengthening the muscles in your hands, wrists and fingers.

“Light-heavyweight champion Artur Beterbiev does this exercise and it has helped contribute to his 100 per cent KO ratio.

“So you can gradually develop your muscles and let them develop to help you get an iron fist.”

It is certain that Beterbiev carries serious power and dynamite in his hands, which have seen him dispatch of the likes of Anthony Yarde and Callum Smith.

He will next face Dmitry Bivol in the biggest test of his career to date in October for the chance to become undisputed champion.

At the age of 39, it could be a perfect curtain call but some big-name tests could wait down the line.

Although boxing legend Roy Jones Jr believes it is a tough ask and gives the advantages to Bivol on the night.

"No. It's not a 50/50 fight. One, Beterbiev is much older, Beterbiev has been down, Bivol has never been down,” he said.

“Bivol has been in there with who at the time was the pound-for-pound best in Canelo Alvarez and made him look like nothing.

So it's not a 50/50. Beterbiev has got everything to show me to bring it back to a 50/50 fight. Right now, Bivol has the advantage 60/40.

“Now, Beterbiev is a hell of a guy and one hell of a fighter and has awesome power. But he has also been down and they was I see it is if someone else has knocked you down then I've got to get you down.

“Now it's one hell of a punch to walk through to get him down though, so it's a very dangerous game to play because Beterbiev is the best punch probably ever in that division, so it's a great fight."
