Anthony Joshua vs Otto Wallin date: UK start time, undercard and how to follow as AJ faces Saudi Arabia showdown
12/12/2023 10:54 AM
Anthony Joshua will continue his bid to win back the world heavyweight titles when he faces Otto Wallin next weekend.
AJ is set to battle Swedish heavyweight Wallin in Saudi Arabia on the same night rival Deontay Wilder fights Joseph Parker.
Joshua has already fought twice this year, with his third bout in 2023 ensuring that this is the most active he has been in seven years.
The 34-year-old was last in action in August when he knocked out Robert Helenius in the seventh round and is looking for another statement victory ahead of career-defining fights in 2024.
Joshua beat Wallin twice as an amateur, but their reunion will be a different proposition as a professional.
The Swede’s only defeat in 27 fights came as he lost on points against Tyson Fury in 2019, but the Gypsy King required 47 stitches and plastic surgery following the damage caused by ‘All In’.
Joshua vs Wallin: Date and start time
This 12-round heavyweight clash is set to go ahead on Saturday, December 23.
One of the deepest cards in boxing history will take place at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The undercard action is set to start at around 5pm while the ring-walks for the main event can be expected at around 10:30pm.
talkSPORT will be bang across fight week with live updates on fight night while talkSPORT.com will be running a live blog as well.
The action will also be broadcast on DAZN PPV from 4pm – it will cost £19.99 to watch the bout live at DAZN.com or via the DAZN app. More details here.
