Anthony Joshua offers to fight Tyson Fury 'in his back garden' as AJ makes feelings clear on all-British showdown

Anthony Joshua has his eyes firmly set on the Tyson Fury fight.

The Watford powerhouse dispatched Francis Ngannou inside two rounds on Friday night to set up a bout with the winner of the undisputed clash between Oleksandr Usyk and Fury.

Joshua is chomping at the bit to get in there with ‘The Gypsy King’ after witnessing the all-British showdown fall apart on several occasions.

Following the most recent collapse in negotiations last year, Fury insisted he was ‘done’ with Joshua.

But it now seems more than likely that they will face each other in the not-so-distant future due to Saudi Arabia‘s monetary involvement.

Joshua will have to wait until Usyk and Fury fulfil their two-fight agreement, of course, but he isn’t keen on sitting around.

Speaking to Sky Sports at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix on Saturday, Joshua called for a fight with Fury.

“I’ll fight him in his back garden, it doesn’t matter to me,” said Joshua.

“I’m a fighting man, you know what I’m saying? Wherever, whenever, however – it doesn’t matter. As long as we deliver for the fans, that’s the main thing.”

Reflecting on his win over Ngannou on the ‘Knockout Chaos’ bill a day prior, he added: “For my career, I feel like wins are just left in the past.

“You can’t dwell on them too long because there’s always another challenge coming up.

“I feel like a win just moves me onto not dwelling in my sorrows too much because a loss isn’t nice for anyone.

“And then in terms of Usyk and Fury, it’s really up to them. I’m only a phone call away.

“Even better, I’m only a tweet away. You can tweet me and we can make the deal, so it will happen.”

Joshua is expected to return to the ring in either June or July shortly after Usyk and Fury’s inaugural encounter on May 18.

IBF mandatory Filip Hrgovic is the frontrunner to face AJ next.
