Itauma came flying out of the blocks and set about Bernath from the first seconds.

He overwhelmed the Hungarian in round one.

It did not take long for Itauma to score a knockdown as he pummelled his opponent to the canvas.

Bernath looked pained, but recovered to his feet.

Regardless, the writing was on the wall.

Itauma pounced on him once again and launched an enormous uppercut that narrowly missed.

He found the stoppage just seconds later though, forcing the referee to jump in and end the contest.

Itauma has now moved to 6-0 (4 KOs).

"A lot of people are calling me a prospect and shooting me to the stars and that's where I belong,” he said afterwards.

"[Mike Tyson] said, 'There are no bums in boxing and you can learn from every fight and every loss.' But I'm not trying to lose.

"Come one man, the power is there. Uncle Frank [Warren] told me to let my hand go so that's what I'm trying to do."
